Sephora now carries The Ordinary, a cult-favorite brand of minimalist skincare that has been getting rave reviews. Recently, when I ran out of acne treatment, I decided to try this brand instead, so I picked up The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution. This product retails for $5.30 from Sephora and similar retailers. That was not a typo and the price is not missing a digit! I actually found skincare from Sephora for under $6!
I’ve been really enjoying this product. I just had my period and I didn’t have any hormonal breakouts when using this product. Like most products for acne-prone skin, it does dry me out a bit, but it’s very manageable and easily reversible with moisturizer.
This product comes with a little dropper, which I dislike in skincare. Typically, I just use the dropper to deposit the liquid onto my hands and then I rub it into my skin. Since the liquid is not super thick, this works more easily as an all-over treatment than a spot-treatment.
Overall, I’ve been really pleased with this product and I’d love to try more from this brand. The price is excellent for the quality of the product.
