Beauty Blender Blotterazzi

Everyone knows about the beauty blender: a cult-product egg-shaped sponge that makes for perfect makeup application. However, I recently was given a new product from this brand: the Beauty Blender Blotterazzi. This is a reusable, thin, egg-shaped sponge that you can use to blot oiliness without messing up your makeup. This product can be purchased from Sephora and similar retailers for $20.

I love that this is a really thin product, and it’s easy to carry with you in a makeup bag. I have been so impressed by how this works. As the name suggests, you can use it to blot oil on your face. No matter what makeup I’m wearing, this product does not mess it up. It quickly absorbs excess oil without removing makeup.

The price of $20 is expensive in comparison to disposable blotting sheets which also work well and are often about $5 – $8, but keep in mind that this is reusable. You can wash it and use it indefinitely, so you’ll probably end up saving money over time if you go through packs of blotting papers quickly. Personally, I think it works even better than blotting papers because I typically only have to put the sponge on my skin once for all the oil to be absorbed, where sometimes I’d have to blot several times with blotting papers.

I think this is such a neat invention, and I highly recommend it to oily guys and gals. You can even use it when you’re not wearing makeup but your skin is looking oily. Have any of you tried this? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments section.

Thanks for reading!

  1. I tried this a couple of years ago as I’ve got quite oily skin but found that this blotter removes not just the oil but also the makeup many times which was a shame as the theory of it is great / Anna (one half of Cunnamon Buns and Roses)

  2. I’m sad that this worked out for you and not for me! I love the idea of a reusable blotter, but this just kept taking my makeup off so I ended up throwing it away. 😣
