I am definitely partial to silver when buying metallic and glittery things, but I’m starting to really love rose gold too (as long as it’s very pink-heavy like these shoes!) I also love the soft pink ribbon here. These are great shoes for running errands with a little flair!
Welcome to another Fashion Friday! I am fully entrenched in the holiday spirit, and every time I shop online, I keep searching for fun things that would stand out at a holiday party. Recently, on Nordstrom’s website, I found these gorgeous shoes: the Halogen X Atlantic-Pacific Anastasia Double Strap Flats which retail for $99.95.
First, I LOVE the fact that glitter is pink hued. The rosie tint is super pretty and sure to stand out. I also adore the two straps adorned with tiny pearls in the corners. The embellishments and straps make these seem classier than the average ballet flat. Finally, the pointed toe really pulls the look together. Overall, I am obsessed with these shoes!

Welcome to another installment of Fashion Friday! I’ve been thinking about the boots that I still have from last year. I have so many ankle boots and mid-calf boots, but I want something high and dramatic this year. I was looking at Nordstrom and now I’m in love with the Steve Madden Brinkley Over the Knee Stretch Boot which retails for $130.
I love that this boot is stretchy because my calves are not the slimmest. I also love the teeny heel and the overall elegant shape of the boot. I could definitely see myself wear these with jeans or even a shorter dress. They are suede, so they wouldn’t be appropriate for snow unless I got them treated. Still, I think these need to make their way into my winter wardrobe!

Welcome to another Fashion Friday. Today, I wanted to share a really awesome new purchase with you: these Badgley Mischka pumps! This is one of my favorite brands – they have amazing shoes, dresses, and handbags – but unfortunately, they’re not super affordable. That’s why I love Poshmark so much! With Poshmark, you can buy and sell new and gently used designer items. Sometimes, you can find amazing deals (like these $295 shoes that are in almost pristine condition, which I bought for only $30).
One of the reasons that I love the brand Badgley Mischka is that their general aesthetic seems to suit me. Structurally, their shoes/handbags/clothes are all very classic and elegant. However, they’re never boring and almost always contain a bit of sparkle. I’ve been wanting to actually own something from this brand for a really long time, so I’m thrilled to now call these shoes mine!
Is this a brand you love too, or do you have a Poshmark experience to share? Be sure to let me know in the comment section!
I am loving this warm weather because I get to wear sandals every day! Recently, I was browsing some shoe stores, and I realized that there’s another shoe trend happening right now: espadrilles. I’ll be honest, I don’t usually love the look, so this is probably not the trend for me, but I did find three options from Steve Madden that I would actually wear:
First, we have the Steve Madden Brussel Espadrille Wedge which retails for $59.99 at DSW. I love the contrast between the black and the beige here. The wedge is also pretty high, which is perfect for me.
Next, we have this lovely lavender number: the Steve Madden Lesko Espadrille Flat. This one retails for $54.99 at DSW. I love the color, the cute detail of the holes in the front half of the shoe, and the heel-hugging strap. It’s a nice structured shoe that’s perfect for spring and summer.
Finally, we have the Steve Madden Talula Espadrille Wedge Sandal. This one retails for $59.99 at DSW, and it’s a fun neutral option. The beige tones will make it look like a natural extension of the legs, which is a good way to create an optical illusion of longer, more toned legs (because wedge heels make your calves flex constantly).
The more I look at these, the more I’m coming around to the espadrille trend. I think I might have to actually get some!
What do you think of this trend? Would you rock some espadrilles? Be sure to let me know in the comment section!
Spring is finally here! It’s felt so nice to finally be able to wear capris and sandals at work. As someone who is always warm, I’m tempted to wear capris in winter but I get a lot of side-eye when I do, so I try to dress appropriately. But Spring and Summer are my seasons!
Naturally, as the seasons change, I find myself needing new shoes. Well, “need” might be a strong word, but I’m sure you understand the feeling. I’ve been shopping and I’ve noticed a major trend right now: strappy sandals this spring that have thicker straps. Here are some that I found from DSW that I’m definitely considering purchasing:
These first shoes are the Sam Edelman Susie Sandal which are $69.99. I love the medium blue suede because they’re definitely not similar to anything I already own. These would be so cute paired with a white sundress.
These next shoes would have been so cute for Easter. They’re the Marc Fisher Kickoff Wedge Sandal which are also $69.99. The light pink shade is gorgeous, and the ruffle is sweet and feminine.
I love red! It’s sensual and vibrant and makes everyone take notice. That’s probably why I’ve got my eyes on the Unisa Diane Sandal which retails for only $39.99
This next one is pretty whimsical. It’s the Crown Vintage Accumoli Sandal for $39.99. I don’t know why, but I’m drawn to the contrasting straps. Since they’re all neutrals, they can be easily paired with other neutrals. It’s eclectic but fun!
This final shoe is my favorite and not just because it’s pink! This is the Diba Gizmo Flat Sandal which is only $29.99 I love the structure of this shoe and its dramatic front bow. The ribbing on the sides is also a nice textural detail.

Remember when nude shoes were in and they were supposed to blend in and look like a natural extension of your leg? That was a terrible trend, and it didn’t work because they didn’t match anyone’s skin tone! Besides, it completely defeated the purpose of accessorizing. Neutral colored accessories are supposed to take a back seat to brighter colors, but they’re still supposed to enhance the outfit instead of disappearing completely. That’s one of the reasons that I LOVE the blush pink shade (so much so that my future wedding dress will absolutely be blush pink instead of white!) It is demure and versatile while still being chic and eye-catching. Here are two amazing accessories in this color from the Kelly & Katie brand sold at DSW:
First up is the Eleanore Pump, which retails at $39.95. I can attest that this is one of the most comfortable brands of shoes on the market, and I love their very feminine styles. This one is certainly no exception. I could definitely see this in an office setting or even a wedding because of the versatility of the pump – it can definitely be dressed up or down. The blush pink hue goes with so many other colors, although it tends to pair best with cooler shades. The bow embellishment is adorable, and peep toes are very flattering for most foot shapes.
Next up is the Helaniel Satchel, which also retails at $39.95. This is a larger bag with the following dimensions: 12½” x 5″ x 9½”. It also completely zips at the top (something that I know I always prefer in a handbag so that I don’t spill the contents during one of my many moments of clumsiness). While this perfectly matches the pumps, you could definitely carry this with most outfits and most shoes. I know that I often pair my blush bag with black shoes. I hate changing handbags if they clash with my outfit, but this one should be a sure bet for most colors.
These are both really affordable options for anyone wanting to try out blush pink accessories. I often forget that DSW sells other accessories, but I’ve actually been really pleased with their recent handbag selection, especially in this shade. I hope that Blush pink is a shade that stays popular for a very long time! I think that it is definitely becoming a classic, elegant shade that will hopefully become a permanent fashion fixture instead of a trend!
