Sally Hansen + Crayola Nail Polish

It’s no secret that I adore the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail polishes. It’s already a great product because you just need one or two coats which dry super quickly and then you are good to go. These products are perfect for the gal on the go. However, the product is even better now that there is a new range which is a collaboration with Crayola! Behold the Sally Hansen + Crayola Insta-Dri Collection. These polishes retail for about $5 at Ulta and most drugstores.

I purchased the three shades seen above, and I have ZERO regrets! The shades (in order from left to right) are Razzmic Berry, Shimmering Blush, and Metallic Seaweed. I love that they are all so metallic and shimmery but have no chunky glitter. They’re pretty and catch the light so well. Plus, I adore how quickly they dry. Yes, they do tend to chip easily, but it’s so easy to fix since they dry super quickly.

Are you embracing metallic nails this fall or is there a different polish trend that you adore? Be sure to let me know in the comment section!

Allure Beauty Box August 2018

The Allure Beauty Box for August 2018 has arrived! This is one of my favorite beauty box subscription services. For just $15 a month, you’ll get deluxe samples and some full-sized beauty products. I love that it’s a blend of drugstore and luxury products too.

This month’s box came with some really great stuff!

First off, we have the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet which retails for $39. This is a product I’ve used and reviewed before. It’s a fantastic lightweight moisturizer that is just perfect for sensitive skin. I highly recommend it!

Next, we have the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner which retails for $22. This is a cult favorite, but I haven’t tried it yet. I really hope it lives up to the hype.

I also received the Laritzy Cosmetics Light Stix in Halo which retails for $24. I had never heard of this brand before, but so far this has been a really great highlighter stick that blends so smoothly.

Another favorite that I’ve already reviewed is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask which retails for $20 and is worth every penny. It’s the best intensive balm I have ever used!

Next up is the Nexxus Keraphix Damage Healing Shampoo and Conditioner which retail for $17.99 a piece. I have damaged hair from too much heat and processing with dye, so I’m excited to try these for sure!

Lastly, I received a $30 off coupon for Breda, a niche watch retailer I had never heard of before. I’ve spent some time browsing their website, and there are some great options, although I’m not sure if I’ll end up getting one.

What do you think of these products? Have you tried any of them before? Be sure to let me know in the comment section!

Clinique Chubby Plump & Shine Lip Gloss – Goliath Grape

I am so picky when it comes to lip gloss! I like high-shine, shimmery colors that are mid-opacity and never ever sticky! That’s a tall order for a lot of glosses, but I found one that I really love: the Clinique Chubby Plump & Shine Lip Gloss in Goliath Grape. This product can be purchased from Clinique’s website and select retailers for $17.50.

There are so many great facets to this product. Let’s take a look at them:

*Color – I like this purplish shade that’s a fun mix between a berry and a violet. It’s relatively sheer but still is very noticeable. I love that it’s not too opaque because I think that makes this one more versatile. Also, it has a lot of shimmer, which is perfect for me!

*Texture – This one is not even a teeny bit sticky, which is so ideal for a gloss. It goes on smooth and lasts for quite a while. You’ll need to reapply after eating, but that’s really standard for a gloss.

*Benefits – While this product claims to plump the lips, I didn’t see this any more than I do with any other lip gloss. Any shiny, glossy product is going to create the illusion of fullness. However, it is noticeably moisturizing, so that does set this product apart from some glosses. After a day of wearing this product, my lips still feel supple and smooth. So, this one scores some bonus points for not drying out my lips.

Overall, I loved this gloss and I would definitely try more shades in this range. Have you tried this one or do you have a favorite gloss you want to share? Be sure to let me know in the comment section!

Cargo Water Resistant Blush – Bali

I used to be terrified of wearing blush, because I get embarrassed for people who have super noticeable blush that isn’t well blended. I was so afraid that this would be me if I tried blush, but I’ve found that applying it in light layers and blending a lot and just putting a little on the apples of the cheek really enhances a look. Recently I tried the Cargo Water Resistant Blush in the shade Bali. This can be purchased from Ulta’s website for $26.

At first, when I received this blush, I was afraid it would be too dark for my fair skin, but I was pleasantly surprised! The texture is very silky which means it’s naturally pretty easy to apply light layers. I was able to use a little at a time and build it into my ideal amount. The texture also made it very easy to blend! I was very pleased with the shade and finish of this blush. Also, the water resistance made it hold up really well, even under hot and humid conditions. I am extremely happy with this blush! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a pretty shade of pink.

Tonymoly Honey Moisturizing Sheet Mask

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with masks. Today, I want to share a really great one that I found: the Tonymoly honey moisturizing sheet mask. I got the limited edition Pikachu one, but this is just a difference in packaging from their typical honey sheet mask.

You can get these from Tonymoly’s website and select retailers. I’ve seen them before in Ulta. Honey is a miracle ingredient, so I was excited to try this ingredient in a mask. First off, it smelled so amazing. You can really smell the honey. It also adhered well to the face for a sheet mask. I left it on for a solid thirty minutes and then I rubbed the excess product into my skin after I removed the sheet. I didn’t notice immediate moisturizing but my skin was noticeably softer and clearer the next morning. I would definitely recommend this sheet mask.

What are your favorite sheet masks? Let me know in the comments section!

NYX Butter Gloss

I feel like lots of beauty blogs love the brand NYX. It’s a very affordable brand that can be found at Ulta. I decided to give their butter glosses a chance since I kept hearing about how wonderful they are when it comes to both pigment and moisturizing abilities.

I picked up two shades from Ulta for $5 a piece, which is very cheap for a lip gloss. I tried them both and just felt incredibly underwhelmed. I kept hearing that they smelled amazing, but I thought they just smelled okay. The pigments were nice but they didn’t last very long. They didn’t seem more moisturizing than other glosses, and my lips weren’t noticeably softer after using this product.

I tried them off and on for about two weeks and just continued feeling overwhelmed. For $5, the product was fine, but they very much felt like they were only worth the $5 I paid. I’ve since tried a few more NYX products since so many beauty bloggers just love them, but I felt the same way about them all. In my opinion, this is a cheap brand that feels cheap. You’re getting what you’re paying for, and I don’t think I’ll be purchasing anything from this brand again. I’ve already given away all of the products I bought and I don’t miss them one bit.

Fizz & Bubble Truffles

Last week, I blogged about the Fizz & Bubble Bath Milkshake, which is a great economical choice, but this week, I wanted to share another more luxurious option from the company: Fizz & Bubble Truffles.

The nine pack of truffles is only $20, which is still pretty good for a fun bath product. Plus, just look how cute they are! This is the perfect sample pack as well because it has nine of Fizz & Bubbles scents. If you like one (or more) of them, Fizz & Bubble has whole ranges devoted to most of the scents which includes shower gels, bath cupcakes, and large bath fizzies.

You’ll want to put just one in each bath. They are certainly large enough for a bath, although they are smaller in comparison to other bath bomb products on the market (but this is, after all, a sample pack). The scents are great. They are strong enough to make the bath smell nice without feeling overpowering.

As with most bath products, however, I did not find that they had any moisturization value, despite marketing claims. You’ll definitely still need to follow up your bath with a nice lotion. Still, I think these are a really fun product, and they would make a lovely gift as well because of the packaging!

IT Cosmetics Contour Palette

I am obsessed with palettes because they are so convenient. I have been searching for quite a while for a good contour palette that contained powder products and would work with my cool-toned pale complexion. After much shopping, I found the perfect thing at Ulta: IT Cosmetics Your Most Beautiful You Anti-Aging Face Palette.

This palette was $38, but it has an enormous amount of product in each pan. These are very buildable colors that definitely work on my pale skin, but they will also work well on skin much tanner than mine. I love the cool tones that work well with my complexion. This reminds me of my old palette from NARS which had almost identical shades but was much smaller and much more expensive. Even the quality of the pigments and textures reminds me of NARS, although I have to say that I prefer this palette. These powders glide on so effortlessly and they blend so easily! I am so excited that I found this palette because it is just perfect for my contouring needs. And another benefit – it has not broken me out in the week I’ve been using it!

Fizz & Bubble Milkshake

Chilly winters make me want to take long, warm baths. I know that baths can further dry out the skin, but there’s just something so soothing about them that I can’t resist! Recently, I made a trip to Ulta and I found this fun gem: Fizz & Bubble Bath Fizz Milkshake.

Bath bombs can be incredibly expensive (I’m looking at you, LUSH!) so these are a great alternative. This adorably packaged container contains a fun sponge plus 12 small bath fizzes. I picked the scent Lavender Fields, but there are five scents to choose from (and they all smelled delicious in the store). I tried a bath with just one bath fizz, and it was fine for a quick bath. However, you might want to toss two in the tub if you’re having a longer soak. Still, $15 for 12 bath fizzes is a pretty good deal considering that many single-use bath fizzes are $5-15 a piece.

While this product smelled great and was just what I was looking for, I will add that it didn’t really do anything for my skin. While the product description claims that these are ultra-moisturizing, I definitely didn’t see any of these in regards to my skin. Still, I really liked these, especially because of the price. I love baths but I don’t have a very long attention span, so I can’t stay in the tub long enough to make a $10 bath bomb worth my time. I do, however, feel okay with one that is under $2.
